Conservation Law Practice: For more than 40 years, the firm has practiced in the area of land use and land conservation from the individual, corporate, governmental and non-profit perspectives. The firm has participated in successful land preservation efforts and land conservation transactions throughout Connecticut. Our attorneys have formed non-profit corporations and obtained IRS 501(c)3 recognition; represented landowners, municipalities and non profits in bargain and fair market sales and donations of conservation lands, including deduction planning; and negotiated, drafted and closed conservation easements (in Connecticut known as "conservation restrictions").
